Learning how to document & report to HR

When it comes to reporting workplace bullying to your Human Resources, you must first understand what questions that they will be asking you. You certainly do not want to be caught off guard in this very emotionally abusive environment.

Here are the some of the questions;
What can you tell me about what is happening?
What was your role in the matter?
What exactly happened?
When did this all start? How long has this been going on?
What did you personally observe?
What have you been told and by whom?
Who was present?
What was your response?
What action did you take?
What action have you taken since?

It is important to note that HR is NOT your friend in 80% of workplace bullying cases. For legal cases it is very important that you document carefully and with detail as of what the date and time was and what happened, why it happened, who was present and where it happened at. Provide at much detail as you can, when documenting everyday.
